The Industrial Revolution allowed for many more goods to be produced efficiently and inexpensively. The assembly line was irst invented and used duyring this time. Big change for rural life. Factories exposed people to air pollution and dangerous machinery. There were big social changes. THe entire family, men women and children all were a part of the work force. But women and children got paid much less despite how hard the work was. Industrialization created new social classes. Aristocrts were those who became rich from industrial success. A middle class formed ! It was made up of managers, accountatnts, ministers, lawters, doctors, and other skilled profesionals. At the bottom was the working class and it was enourmous. It was made of all the factory workers in the cities and peasant farmers of the country-side.

The Industrial Revolution allowed products to be created quicker and inexpensively. There was a big change from rural life. Farmers had before been exposed to fresh air. Factory workers were exposed to air pollution and dangerous machinery. There weren't even any open windows in the factories, so the air was hot and the sun could not creep in. Both men and woman (along with children) were now working in factories. New social classes rose, the middle class women were the ones who were expected to remain with the domestic structure and could not work. At the top of the social pyramid was aristocrats who became rich from industrial success. The middle class was made up of managers and other skilled professionals. At the bottom was the working class. Which was made up of factory workers and peasants.

The indusrtial revolutionw as the time of cheaper goods and the mass production of goods. Due to this revolution the world changed drastically. Before many were used to working on farms breathing frwesh air. During the revolution factories were being bulit more and more eahc day allowing the air to become polluted. Families would work all day tired, hungry, and abused. THere were no windows to ventalate the smoke. Children had to work in unsafe factories with dangerous machines. Although there were many negative aspects to the revolution. There were many efficient and inexpensive products being created in these factories. Invention were created daily by many and people were getting things done faster and easier.

The Industrial Revolution was an efficient and inexpensive time. However, workers were forced to do hard labor and being underpaid. Not only men, but women and children too were doing these jobs. Children as young as 6 would be working with a machine and would put their life on the line to work. Each worker would have worked for at least 16-hours with only one hour break. The factories exposed the workers to horrible air pollution and dangerous machinery. Tehn the change had occured. Women were now taken out of these harsh conditions and were only allowed to do domestic work.
Children later were forced to go to school and get an education.

The Family
Family life was greatly affected by the Industrial Revolution. Unlike before, when only men worked for food, now the women and children were working as well. They worked in factories with extremely dangerous conditions and very low income. There were factory-run boarding houses in which workers depended on the factory for shelter and food. This also changed the way of life for many who moved away form home to join one of there boarding houses. Young men and women had more freedom to move away from home.
The middle class was forming due to the industrial revolution as well. Because of this middle and upper class women were expected to be domestic house wives and to have nothing to dow ith the working world. They were tought to be nurturing and serve their men.

- the biggest changes were to the family. Women and children became aprt of the work force, were paid lower wages and were put in more dangerous conditions than the men.

- new living arrangements removed workers from their families. This actually lessened restrictions on young men and women.

- Young men and women were able to live away from home, manage their own income, pursue independence; such as eating out and enjoying the theatre and recitals, which helped to suuport the new urban working class.

- The rise of the middle class changed the family because home and work were no longer focused in the same space.

- new social classes.

- New aristocrats became rich from industrial success.

- A middle class was formed - which included managers, accountants, lawyers, doctors, and skilled professionals.
- At the bottom was the working class (the largest of all) which consisted of facory workers in cities and peasant farmers in the country.

Factories were filled with polluted air which caused many factory worked to become sick, and they caused a spread in diseases. Factories also were very dirty.

Men, and women were forced to work long hours for low pay. In most cases the entire family was forced to work. Women and children got paid much less than men.

Industrialization created a new social class. It was known as the aristocrats. The aristocrats were the people who became rich thanks to industries. A middle class was also formed. The middle class consists of managers, accountants, ministers, lawyers, doctors, and other skilled professions. The bottom of the pyramid consisted of the working class. The working class was the factory workers in cities, andthe peasent farmers.
